making faith effective

In the Bible, there are all kinds of things that happened because of faith (blind eyes healed, miracle provisions, raising the dead, family restoration, giant killing, etc).  Whenever I read Hebrews 11, I’m always really stirred up and motivated in my faith because the chicks & dudes in this chapter are AMAZING!!!  But here’s a simple essential to make our faith effective:  genuine love.

In Galatians 5:6, Paul says that faith works by love.  So whenever I’m not seeing the results of faith in my life, the real question doesn’t always rest on the quality / quantity of my faith, but moreso the reality of my genuine love.  Perhaps the evidence of our faith is directly related to the sincerity of our love 🙂

and….our underlying and not lying to ouselves true motives may play into it also – that is where I personally have a little battle with the grace vs law folks.
Does grace cover impur motives? It covers a lot of sins but how about motives??

Grace without truth is meaningless.

Thanks LD sounds profound but not so sure what you mean? Does grace cover a lie? A little lie or just a whopper or neither or both??

Wow! That could be why my faith is sometimes lacking, my love is not as sincere or genuine as it should be. Thank you Sarah for this revelation.

When we walk in love THE AGAPE/GOD KIND OF LOVE, faith operates in our lives where we see sings, wonders, and miracles that follow those that truly believe….FOR WITHOUT LOVE, NONE OF THE GIFTS OF GOD TRULY WORK!
