Do you ever struggle to focus? I definitely struggle with my focus & I’m learning that it’s easier for me to focus on some things more than others. For example, I’m not very good at listening to stuff, but I’m better at reading. Some people like video content & find it easier to pay attention. So here’s some good news for the video peeps! I started my own YouTube channel & I’m uploading a series once a week. The series I’m working on is about prayer & it’s really excellent!! For the prayer series, each episode is short & very relevant!
Feel free to subscribe & pass on the link to your friends who are interested in prayer!

Help to Grow

One of the things my parents invested in me that I deeply appreciate is the importance of growing. My parents always affirmed my efforts to grow in a plethora of ways – intellectually, athletically, socially, spiritually, etc.
Consequently, I’m a firm advocate of personal growth & one of the ways that helps me grow is by reading. So here’s a list of books I’ve read lately that have helped me learn & grow:

*Warrior Ethos by Steven Pressfield

*Resilience by Eric Greitens

*RA Torrey’s book on the Holy Spirit

  • CS Lewis’ Space Trilogy

*Mans Search for Meaning by Viktor Frankl

*Purity of Heart by Kierkegaard

*Essentialism by McKeow

Consider, as well, pre-ordering my new book Heavenly Help – it’s a must read to help us grow closer to God 🙂

A Good & Practical Read

I’m a reader & I read a wide array of books on a plethora of topics.  So here’s a good one that’s uber practical for your body, soul & spirit:  30 Day Faith Detox.

I’m recommending this book because there’s not a single reader of this blog who doesn’t need some help in all three of these areas.  I’m also recommending this book because it’s practical, holistic, easy to read & implement.  So grab a copy today!

Love to listen to people!!

Listening to people is entirely AWESOME! Their stories, wisdom, insights, experiences can be provide such a great way to connect & learn about life, people & relationships – such very rich!!
In much the same way, when we read about Jesus in the Gospels, we get to see & understand Jesus in extremely insightful & very earthy ways. I love reading how Jesus was born in a stable & His first bed was a feeding trough for animals. I love reading about Jesus giving an earful to the religious leaders of His day. And what I most love about Jesus is the continually extravagant ways that Jesus showed live in creative, redeeming & transformational ways.
Be sure to take some time to read about & listen to Jesus’s stories, heart wide open 🙂
