What to pray when you don’t know what to pray. Do you have those times when you’re lost for words? Maybe life has just piled up too deep, the demands are too plenteous & the stresses seem infinite. Sometimes when we go through grief, words can seem mechanical or elusive.
When you don’t know what or how to pray, here’s a good suggestion:
All of us have prayers that we are waiting for God to answer. Such prayers can be related to job, school application, health diagnosis, relationship challenges, kid stuff, finances, etc. It seems to me that waiting can be a problem for us, so here are a few ideas for your consideration, while you wait:
Take this opportunity to let your trust in God grow – Prov 22:19
Increase your prayer focus – Phil 4:6
Do little things to make progress – Gal 6:9
Let’s stay encouraged that God is answering our prayers!
Approximately three weeks ago, more than 200 girls were abducted from a boarding school in Nigeria & they have yet to be found. The leader of the group who abducted these girls says that his group is planning to sell the girls for about $12 / girl. There is a huge outcry against this atrocity and many nations, including the US, are putting intense pressure for these girls to be returned to their families. There are many grassroot movements also forming to petition for the release of these girls.
I’ve been following the news on this atrocity since it happened a few weeks back & I’m extremely concerned for these girls and totally outraged that someone could even think of doing such an horrific thing. Please join me in praying for these girls, their safe return & for their families who are suffering tremendously!
