Part 2: the power of closed doors

I was reading this morning about Jacob leaving Laban’s household in Gen 31. I think he was kind of nervous about this change bc he had worked for Laban for 20 years, knew the routine & probably had a relatively comfortable lifestyle. Furthermore, Laban & his sons were becoming increasingly unhappy w Jacob & his prosperity. It was time for Jacob to leave & he knew it. The door was closing on that chapter of his life.
What he didn’t know was what doors would be open to him by walking away from those closed doors. When he left Laban, he walked into a reconciliation w his brother Esau, return to his own country & the establishment of his own identity, family, wealth & destiny.
Don’t be afraid or discouraged w closed doors 🙂
