Obama, Hillary and daily living

My husband is really up to speed with the whole political scene and I’m happy because my kids and I played catch on the front lawn today with no one getting hurt, mad or too uptight.  Even my youngest son was focused, catching pretty well and enjoying himself!  There are alot of places and situations where we can enter into frenzied living, but we have the power of choice and focus.  Please don’t misunderstand me to minimize the importance of our political process.  What I’m saying is that its important for us to allow the Holy Spirit to enter the fray and chaos of our daily living to bring some order, some truth, some light and some conviction.

Check this out.  Today, I was studying the Bible and working on some things from the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5).  As I was reading a portion that I’m planning to speak about, the Holy Spirit zeroed in on me and showed me a relationship that is incongruent with what I was reading.  I heard myself catch my breath and say aloud, “No Way!” when I realized what He was showing me.  Now, I’ve got to do something about it – I must be transformed with my thinking and actions changed.

All of this in the light of playing catch on the front lawn and whatever happens with the candidate for the democratic partei.  🙂
