What do bowlers say about the Hammer Axe Black/Smoke?

Pinpoint Accuracy

Bowlers love how this ball nails spares with laser-like precision. It glides straight down the lane, barely hooking, making it a go-to for tricky corner pins like the 10 or 7. One bowler drilled it and knocked down spares effortlessly after just a little practice. If you want a ball that hits exactly where you aim, this is it.

Tough as Nails

This ball stands up to hard throws without cracking. Bowlers say regular plastic balls break too easily, especially when smashed into pins end-over-end. The Hammer Axe, with its durable low friction reactive cover, keeps going strong. It’s built to last, saving you from constant replacements.

Boosts Your Game

Switch to this ball, and watch your scores climb. Bowlers rave about how it rescues their average by clearing spares consistently. One swapped out a flimsy plastic ball for the Axe and saw instant improvement on dry lanes. It’s a simple way to level up without breaking a sweat.

Sleek and Stylish

This ball turns heads with its black and smoke look. Bowlers call it elegant and sharp, a standout on the lanes. It’s not just about performance—it’s about rolling something that matches your vibe. Pick this, and you’ll feel cool every time you throw it.

What's the Verdict?

Hammer Axe Black/Smoke Bowlers can’t get enough of the Hammer Axe Black/Smoke. It’s dead-on accurate, tough enough to handle rough play, and lifts your game while looking slick. It’s a clear winner for anyone wanting a reliable, stylish spare ball.

First season

After drilled, I did practice with the ball. It is very good straight. I keep hit 10 and 7 pins down. Still need to work on it

Hammer Axe

I gave this ball 5 stars because it does exactly what it's supposed to do, it goes pretty darn straight for picking up spares. In the past year I have gone through about 4 plastic spare balls. The problem is plastic has a very hard & brittle surface. I throw the ball fairly hard, and I throw it pretty end over end at my corner pins and sometimes it will roll over fingers or my thumb and plastic cracks and breaks. The idea behind the Axe is to use a harder, more durable low friction reactive resin and polish to come up with a more durable spare ball. So far so good and on those rare conditions where everything is hooking off the lane, I can see putting this into play as a strike ball. I like it.

Question:

Would this be a good ball for a rev dominant bowler looking for a late smooth motion on house shot?

6/27/2024 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

This bowling ball will have a low hook rating and is mostly sold as a spare ball because it has a lower hook potential and goes straighter than most performance balls. However, if you are rev dominant you could find this ball give you just the right amount of hook in some lighter oil conditions. If you were to change the out-of-box polished finish to a 2000 grit you could smooth out some of the reaction and may even find this works into some medium oil conditions for you.
